Former NMU radio personality sentenced to jail and probation
Former NMU radio personality, Stan Wright was sentenced at the Marquette Circuit County Court with a five-year probation term and five months of jail, with credit for 101 days served to date.
The 58-year-old was arrested and charged with eight counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, this past fall. He only plead guilty to three.
Wright claims he didn't understand the full extent of his actions, until after counseling and medication.
"I spent my entire adult life in the service of others," Wright said. "The majority of that time has been in the service of young people as either a counselor, mentor, teacher or guide. Not once have I ever harbored any thought or inclination toward abusing anyone of any age at any time."
Wright must also pay for court and attorney fees through community service.
