ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - Upper Peninsula veterans are preparing for next week's U.P. Honor Flight XVI, and you can watch the trip from multiple sights in the U.P.

This will be the 16th Honor Flight for vets out of the U.P., the trip will bring veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam to Washington D.C. for a day of remembrance at each of the major memorials.

The entire trip will streamed on Facebook Live, and if you don't have Facebook you can watch at three locations, Peter White Public Library, Forsyth Township Library, or at the Quality Inn of Escanaba.

"It's just so intriguing to see what we're doing. And that these veterans are able to see this and experience this and they're getting the thank you that they never got," said Honor Flight's Scott Knauf.

This year's Honor Flight will be on May 22, with veterans departing Delta County Airport at 6:30 a.m., and returning at 8:30 p.m. that same day.
