Special night for MSHS Spring Choral Concert

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Wednesday night was the Marquette Senior High School's Spring Choral Concert. It was also a very special night for the show's director.

It was the final show for the longtime Director, Janet Brodersen, as she is retiring. The show featured a mix of songs including Irish and American folk songs as well as a portion of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

Later in the show choral alumni joined current singers for a special song. The students performing say it was a bitter sweet night.

"It's our last concerts as seniors and additionally our choir director is retiring with us so it's a really, really special night," said MSHS Sr. Karen Ludwig.

Following the performance there was a reception for the alumni and current choral members and their families.
