Shattered glass injured a fan and caused a delay at the Northern Michigan University hockey game on Friday night.

An NMU player checked a St. Cloud State player into the boards, which shattered a panel of glass.

It happened in the middle of the second period of Friday night's game at the Berry Events Center. One fan was injured from the flying glass.

Witnesses say, she was bleeding from the leg and had to be taken out on a stretcher.

No information is available on her condition.

The game was delayed about a half an hour before the glass was replaced and play resumed.
