NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Troopers from the Michigan State Police - Negaunee Post were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in Negaunee Township late Monday morning.
At approximately 11:25 a.m., troopers were called to a crash on US-41 near Midway Drive.
Troopers learned 79-year-old Alonzo Feldbauer, of Ishpeming, was driving his 2002 Toyota Tundra eastbound on US-41 when he lost control, crossed the center line, and was struck by a westbound 2003 Chevrolet car driven by 29-year-old Alex Fraley, of Gwinn.
Both drivers and their passengers, 69-year-old Patricia Feldbauer (Alonzo's vehicle), and 24-year-old Jessica Fraley and their 3-year-old daughter (Alex's vehicle), were transported by ambulance to U.P. Heath System-Marquette.
No information on the conditions of the drivers or passengers of either vehicle has been released at this time.
Feldbauer was found to be at fault and was cite for a violation of the basic speed law: Driving too Fast for Conditions, a civil infraction.
MSP Troopers were assisted by the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, Negaunee City Police, and Negaunee Township Fire Department.
