CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Thursday night the folks at Seeds and Spores Family Farm held an herb walk. It was a chance to learn about herbs and other medicinal plants that they grow at their farm.
The owners try to focus on plants and herbs indigenous to the U.P. as much as possible. They also served hors d'oeuvres and tea that used many of the herbs on the walk.
"I hope that folks who come out tonight are able to identify some things that are growing all around the U.P. there is so much bounty here and I hope they can identify some things to add to their diet or to use for their medicinal properties," said Owner of Seeds and Spores Family Farm, Leanne Hatfield.
Seeds and Spores usually hosts a couple of these herb walks each year. There's more information on their family farm in the related links section on this page.
