ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - Santa can keep a closer tab on who is naughty and nice all year long, thanks to Range Telecommunications.

Jeff Paull, Wireless Technology & Security Systems Manager, and Range Telecommunications donated a wireless surveillance camera to watch over Santa’s Workshop in the Old Ishpeming Pocket Park.

State-of-the art equipment will supervise the park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

With a wireless connection to the local police station, Santa’s workshop will be monitored and recorded all year long.

“The last Santa's village was burnt. We wanted to make sure that this one was going to be there for future generations,” said Paull. “It's very important, you know, kind of a little bit of town history. It's been there for many, many years.”

An unknown arsonist burned down the workshop in August.

Ishpeming High School students repaired the building in time for this year's holiday festivities.
