Roof collapse at Negaunee bus garage

The roof of the Negaunee Public Schools bus garage collapsed early Sunday morning during another winter storm.

Most of the damage is visible in the rear of the building. Multiple crews were working at the scene Sunday morning. About a foot of new snow fell overnight, with blizzard conditions expected later in the day as winds increase.

The collapse broke the sprinkler system in the bus garage. That sent a stream of water onto US-41 in the lanes in front of the garage, near the M-35 intersection.

Negaunee Public Schools won't be in session Monday because of a previously scheduled day off.
