GLADSTONE, Mich. (WLUC) - Delta County's Rapid River Falls Park will see improvements in the coming years.
It's all thanks to recent $85,000 grant funding.
The area around the Rapid Rivers Falls Park will become a campground, hosting 25 semi-modern sites.
This campground will serve as an area for ORV and ATV riders as it sits near the only legal crossing for four wheelers across US-41 between Rapid River and Marquette.
This new campground will also include a smaller on-site four wheeler trail.
"Besides a campground being there, you can walk across and spend some time in the Rapid River Falls rec area to explore and relax so it's a really nice area for that and of course the access to the whole Upper Peninsula," said Delta Conservation District Executive Director, Rory Mattson.
Construction is set to begin spring of this year, with hopes of completion in the summer of 2020.
