Quinnesec man injured after being struck by cement truck

REPUBLIC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post responded to M-95 near Witch Lake in Republic Township for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a cement truck.

49-year-old Dean Lindblom of Quinnesec was on foot when he was struck by a northbound Champion Inc. cement truck. The driver of the truck was 52-year-old James Sargent of Iron Mountain.

Lindblom was transported to U.P. Health System - Marquette with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Republic Township Fire/EMS and U.P. Health System - Marquette EMS.
