MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Tuesday was your chance to grab a burger and help out a local charity at the same time. Queen City Burger Company in Marquette Township donated 10 percent of all sales Tuesday to the Grant Henriksen Memorial. That fund helps U.P. families who have a child with cancer with costs including transportation and other needs. Owners of Queen City Burger Company say they're glad to help out with this cause.
"The community is supporting us so anything we can do to give back to the community especially with all these local charities that have come up so, I mentioned let's do a burger day and donate ten percent of our sales, that's how it all started," said Queen City Burger Company Owner, Eric Curtis.
Tuesday's event is part of Burgers for Benefit. It's a monthly initiative to give back to charity groups in the community.
