Queen City Burger Company issues apology for social media post

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - One of Marquette Township’s newest restaurants is apologizing for a distasteful post that was made over the weekend on social media.

The original post on Queen City Burger Company’s Facebook page said, “I’m fat, but I identify as skinny. I’m trans-slender.”

The company issued an apology on Facebook Sunday night saying, “Recently, one of our admins on the page posted a distasteful joke. With that, we want to apologize and say we are truly sorry. The person responsible for the post has been removed from any future role on this page. The post does not represent the views of Queen City Burger Co. We are a young business and have made plenty of mistakes this past week, including the post.”

As of late Monday afternoon, the business has deactivated their Facebook page.

TV6 & FOX UP reached out the the owners, but they did not want to comment on camera.
