MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - No decision yet has been made in the case of an 11-year-old Marquette boy's suicide following a social media prank.

Tysen Benz passed away in early April from injuries following his suicide attempt. A 13-year-old girl who was supposedly messaging Benz leading up to the attempt has been charged with malicious use of a telecommunication services and using a computer to commit a crime.

There was supposed to be a pretrial conference today in Marquette County Probate Court.

Attorneys for both parties were supposed to either resolve the matter or the case would be sent to a full trial. Monday's conference was rescheduled for August 23. It'll be at least another month before the case moves forward or a resolution is agreed too.
