UPDATE: Power restored in Marquette, Negaunee townships

MARQUETTE & NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIPS, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: Power was restored shortly after noon Tuesday.


UPDATE: At noon Tuesday, the Marquette Board of Light and Power said power should be restored shortly in Marquette and Negaunee townships. The BLP has not said what caused the power to be out for the past 30 minutes.


ORIGINAL STORY: Marquette Board of Light and Power customers in Marquette and Negaunee townships are without power, as of 11:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Several outages occurred around 11:30 a.m. Traffic lights along the US-41 corridor, including the roundabout construction zone, are not working.

The BLP says it's working on addressing the outage but did not tell TV6 & FOX UP what the cause was. Law enforcement agencies say they aren't aware of the cause.
