The freezing and snowy weather can be miserable for people who are required to spend time outside.

The snow and icy conditions can be dangerous for those working, especially for those carriers of the United States Postal Service.

Mail service personnel are running into problems with mail boxes being frozen shut, flags freezing to the sides of mailboxes, snow-covered mailboxes that could potentially water damage the mail and more.

"Well, this time of year, the conditions being so icy, snow, being a pretty extreme winter, we just want to remind all the customers to make sure that your mailboxes are cleared off of all ice and debris and make sure that your properly shovel and have a safe path for your mail carriers to properly deliver your mail," said Mail Carrier Gary Williams.

The postal workers are very thankful for those accommodating to the cold, winter weather conditions and appreciate all of their customers.
