Police seeking information on suspected hit-and-run car, driver

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - An investigation continues into a two-vehicle hit-and-run that happened on Wednesday, December 5, in Dickinson County.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 1:20 p.m. on US-2 near Fox Ranch Road, in front of the Verso mill in Breitung Township.

Several vehicles were traveling eastbound on US-2. A small black car, also traveling eastbound, but at a high rate of speed, collided with the back of a green Toyota Highlander. The black car then crossed the center line and accelerated away.

The driver of the Toyota Highlander called in the crash and was transported to Dickinson County Health System by EMS personnel.
