MUNISING, Mich. (WLUC) - Pizza lovers in Munising got a chance to indulge and help out kids in Alger County.
The 3rd annual "Pizza For A Purpose" was held at Pictured Rock Pizza.
Customers paid $10 for an 11-inch 2 topping pizza, and $7 will go to Alger County Communities that Care for suicide prevention and education.
Organizers say suicide is a problem that Alger County residents need to talk about it if they want to save lives.
"I think we've really been trying to break that stigma, and get the word out that it's okay to talk about it. It's okay to ask for help and we're making that available. We're making resources and training available in Alger County to do just that," said Alger County Communities that Care Coordinator Bobbi Ayotte.
"Pizza For A Purpose" continues tomorrow, noon to 9 pm.
