ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - On Wednesday, February 13th, a vehicle fire was reported at 2008 2nd Avenue North in Escanaba. Escanaba Public Safety reported to the scene at approximately 9:12 a.m. Upon arrival, officers came upon a pickup truck with a plow attachment that had its hood up.
Smoke was observed to be coming from the truck's engine. A short time after arrival, visible flames were seen in the engine compartment, which then spread to the inside of the truck’s cab.
EPSD officers attacked the flames using water and foam. The fire was quickly under control.
Once the fire was completely extinguished, it was towed from the scene by Genes Towing.
It is unclear if there were any injuries.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta county Central Dispatch, Genes Towing, City of Escanaba Public Works, and the Escanaba City Water Department.
