ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - Volunteers from Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming are hosting their annual Pajama Palooza event. Years ago the event started smaller, but it's grown each year.
This year they're very close to collecting 1,000 sets of pajamas for kids in need age 18 and under. Pajama Palooza is in its fifth year now and it's founder says giving back to those in need is very rewarding.
"It's really important that we do something kind for others, giving to others is such a huge thing especially around the holidays and I'm just asking you to just get one pair, everyone thinks, oh it's just one pair, that one pair matters to that child that gets it and that's the most important thing is to see that smile on that kids face," said Founder/Organizer, Addy Lemire.
