NORWAY, Mich. (WLUC) - In Dickinson County, a group of outdoor sports advocates are getting ready for their annual wild game dinner.

The event takes place on Friday, Jan. 17 at Grace United Methodist Church in Norway. It features a display of taxidermy, from all over the country. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner served at 6 p.m.

This year's guest speakers are Joe Botessi and Joe Kriegl, both of Hardcore Scripture Outdoors, a youth mentoring program. Botessi says this is a great way to bring the outdoors to a new audience.

"It's a great place for family gathering, and it gets kids interested. They can see a huge variety of different animals. It gets their interest sparked in maybe thinking about being in the outdoors,” he said.

Tickets are $12 and children 5 and under are free. They can be purchased by calling (906)-563-8917 through the church, or at the door.
