An outbuilding and multiple campers are a total loss after a large fire Saturday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., Mathias Township Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire on Storm Road in Limestone. Once on scene, Mathias Township Fire Department saw an outbuilding, a pickup top camper, an older camper and a new camper fully engulfed in flames.

Mathias Township Fire Chief Brian Hoy says the owner of the property believes lightning struck the outbuilding, causing the fire.

Firefighters worked on the scene until about 2:00 a.m. Sunday, to make sure the fire was completely out and there were no hot spots remaining.

Chief Hoy says they used about 10,000 gallons of water to put out the blaze. The outbuilding and campers are a total loss.

There were no injuries.

Mathias Township Fire Department was assisted on scene by Rock River Fire Department.
