MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The annual Festival of the Angry Bear is coming this weekend to Marquette.
Despite the snow, it's a way to shake off winter and celebrate spring. Organizers are saying this will be the biggest year yet for the festival.
Spring Street will be closed off Saturday as it will be filled with tents selling the Ore Dock's beer, as well as food vendors and live music.
"The Festival of the Angry Bear is when our barrel aged beers hit their peak, we call it a barrel aged spring awakening, it's the perfect opportunity to get out of hibernation and have a good party on Spring Street and kick off the summer and get everyone excited for what's to come," said Lizzie Corser, Ore Dock Brewing Company Tap Room/Events Manager.
The festival begins at 3 p.m.. Saturday. After 7 p.m.. it becomes a 21 and older only event. The festival wraps up at midnight.
