MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - A Marquette woman is recovering from minor injuries after a two vehicle crash in Marquette Township Monday afternoon.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at 2: 47 p.m. Monday, January 27.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of County Road HQ and County Road HR in Marquette Township for a two vehicle crash.
A 2011 Subaru, driven by a 24-year-old Marquette woman, was southbound on County Road HQ. The vehicle then crashed into a 2006 Buick driven by a 21-year-old woman from Negaunee.
Investigation found that the Negaunee woman was attempting to pull onto County Road HQ from Jandrons Fine Jewelry. The Marquette woman sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene by U.P. Health Systems EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Marquette Township Fire Ems, U.P. Health Systems EMS, Marquette Detailing, and Anttila’s Towing.
