Name released in fatal crash in Beaver

BEAVER, Wis. (WLUC) - UPDATE: 5/19/19, 12:20 p.m.:

Ryker J. Plosczynski, 25, of Wausaukee, Wisc. has been identified as the fatality in Friday's crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marinette County Medical Examiner.

Authorities have no other information regarding the conditions of others that were injured in the crash at this time.

A Wausaukee man was killed and several others were injured in a Friday afternoon in a head-on crash in Marinette County, Wisconsin.

Marinette County Sheriff James Hansen reports it appears a vehicle traveling on northbound on US-141 crossed the center line and struck two southbound vehicles near the intersection of E. 26th Road, north of the Town of Beaver around 2:24 p.m.

The sheriff says the 25-year-old Wausaukee man driving northbound was trapped in his vehicle and died in the crash.

Two occupants in one southbound vehicle were trapped and extricated and the sheriff said it appears both have critical injuries. Both were transported from the scene, one by the Eagle III flight team.

The other southbound vehicle has three occupants, and two were injured, the sheriff's office said.

All names are being withheld pending notification of family members.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Marinette County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office was assisted by Brazeau Fire, Coleman Fire, Crivitz Fire, Pound Fire, Coleman Rescue, Crivitz Rescue, Wausaukee Rescue, Bay Area Medical Center Paramedics, Eagle II, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner's Office.
