UPDATE: Police seeking information regarding Friday night's old mill silo fire

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Fire broke out Friday at an old structure off Vandenboom Road just before 10 p.m.

According to the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, the Marquette Township Fire Department, Chocolay Township Fire Department, and the Marquette City Fire Department were able to get the blaze under control.

The fire broke out just before 10 p.m. No injuries have been reported.

Part of Vandenboom Road was blocked off and there is no official word yet on how the fire started.

Crews remained on scene and continued to investigate the fire until 1:08 a.m. Saturday. The fire remains under investigation by the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, the Michigan State Police, and Marquette Township Fire and rescue.
