MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Peak Gymnastics in Marquette offered a unique summer camp this whole week. They used the week to work on specific gymnastic skills with kids.
The group also met with experts in silk acrobatics, balance beams and more. Friday, after a warm up with the giant parachute, the kids got to show off what they've learned this week to their parents.
"Every day we try to do at least one of the events of vault floor bars and beam, and we taught them different basics on each of those events, so for floor we did some handstands and rolls, beam we worked on walks and also handstands, bars we worked on swinging and then we had a couple of fun events," said Rachel Hunter, Gymnastics Coach for Peak.
Peak offers this summer camp each year the week of the 4th of July. After that, regular gymnastics classes resume.
