Marquette native and NMU alum, Carol Johnson was named the Dean of the College of Business at the September Board of Trustees meeting.
Johnson served as the interim dean for about a year before her appointment.
She says with the completion of the strategic resource allocation it's an exciting time for the college of business.
"It's exciting, one thing about business is it's changing, e-commerce, social media all of these things are changing the way we do business and we have to adapt and we have to provide a curriculum that's going to provide these students with the best possible academic experience," said Johnson.
Johnson also said they're branching out to work with other departments at NMU like theatre and dance.
