MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Norlite Nursing Center and Rehab is celebrating skilled nursing care week. They held a masquerade ball for residents and staff. TV6's own Andrew LaCombe performed with his cello for the party.

Skilled nursing care week is designed to highlight the efforts nurses and providers give to their residents. Staff at Norlite say it's important to recognize the staff during this week.

"It's just an opportunity for long-term care facilities to celebrate the residents and the staff a lot of people don't recognize how many dedicated staff members actually work in long-term care who truly love our residents and take care of them every day," said Activities Director, Amy Fraley.

Norlite also has an open house planned for Thursday afternoon.
