MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC)- The Noquemanon Trail Network is finishing preparations for the Forestville Music Festival this weekend sponsored by Blackrocks Brewery. The festival takes place at the Forestville trailhead in Marquette.
Events kick off 6 pm Friday with music, drinks, merchandise for sale, and overnight camping. Early Saturday will be a group mountain bike ride followed by a yoga class at 10 am.
Due to parking restrictions, shuttle buses will be available Saturday starting at 11:30 am at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
Proceeds from this weekend’s festival directly benefit the Noquemanon trail network. Funds raised are used to maintain existing trails, build new trails, and purchase equipment needed for the trail network.
“We have 14 bands, 8 brewers, it's going to be a lot of variety and so many people to enjoy the wonderful outdoors of the trail network,” said Laurie Neldberg-Weesen. “If people decide to come out here and have fun, support the event, you're also supporting your community.”
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the gate for both Friday and Saturday. Volunteers are still needed and are able to attend the festival free of charge.
