MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Friday night skiiers for the Noquemanon Ski Marathon lined up for their bibs and information for the annual Expo in Marquette. The expo included vendor booths, registration and packet pick-up for the weekends cross-country ski events as well as demonstrations. Last year more than a thousand skiiers participated in the various races for the Noque including the 50k and 24k.

"There's a lot of information with these races, there's changes based on weather, changes on the course and this is the place for us to make sure that everyone has that correct information it's also a great place to showcase the great sponsors that make it happen and a space for some camaraderie," said Race Director, Jason Rolling.

The Noquemanon Ski Marathon gets underway Saturday with the 50k classic touring at 8 a.m. Everything wraps up with the awards ceremony at the Superior Dome at 5 p.m.
