ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - Escanaba Public Safety officers battled a house fire Monday night.
Escanaba Public Safety says that officers were called to a home at 222 South 10th Street for a structure fire at approximately 10:44 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, the front of the home was fully involved as was the upstairs on the south side of the residence. A quick attack of the interior as well as the exterior of the residence was conducted, and the fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. Officers were at the scene for about two-and-a-half hours.
Public Safety was assisted on the scene by the Ford River Fire Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Rampart EMS, DTE, City Electric Department and the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
