Woman involved in embezzlement case receives sentencing date

Nicole King is set for sentencing on October 3 in Marquette County Circuit court.
25 year old Nicole King was arraigned in district court Thursday. King was arrested in September after being accused of embezzling money from the Facial Surgery Institute, where she worked.

During Thursday’s arraignment, King was charged with 6 counts of Uttering and Publishing and 6 counts of Forgery, each count carries a maximum 14 years in prison. As well as one count of Embezzlement, more than $20,000 but less than $50,000. Punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or $15,000 in fines or 3 times the embezzled amount, whichever is greater.

A probable cause conference has been scheduled for October 24th with a preliminary exam on October 29th.
