Negaunee woman arrested in connection to missing medication at UPHS

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A Negaunee woman has been arrested in connection to missing medication from U.P Health System Marquette.

On December 4th, Marquette Police arrested 26-year-old Emily Margaret Barker of Negaunee on a seven count warrant.

Barker has been charged with Larceny in a Building, four counts of Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud, and two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance.

Police were investigating reports of missing medication by UPHS Marquette. Barker allegedly stole medication while she was employed at the hospital.

Barker is lodged at the Marquette County Jail pending arraignment on a $700,000 bond.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for January 2.
