NMU's Winter 2019 Senior Art and Design Exhibition on display

Northern Michigan University’s School of Art and Design

is on display at the

on NMU’s campus.

The exhibit opened Saturday and will run until the

on Friday, May 3 from 7-9 p.m. Awards for the graduating seniors will be announced at 8 p.m. that evening.

will be held on May 2 at 6 p.m. and May 3 at 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Over 50 students are showcasing their artwork in a vast variety of mediums, from photography to ceramics to human centered design and more.

NMU Student Megan Hillier, graphic designer, said, "It's a great show. I really appreciate that there is a lot of, like, disability awareness in it. It's probably the most I've seen in one of the senior shows in a long time. And I think it's an important conversation to have."

The general public is encouraged to stop in and view the art. Admission is free but donations for the DeVos Art Museum are always welcome.
