MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The new Wildcat Den at Northern Michigan University is now open for business.
The newly-renovated den is located inside of NMU’s Northern Center.
The Den includes a Starbucks coffee counter, a variety of different food, and even pool tables and multiple televisions.
NMU Dining Services staff say the new den was a collaboration involving NMU students, to see exactly what they wanted for a university dining experience.
"They've created the menu, they've created what they wanted in the space, from the gaming to the video walls. All of those components were all student-driven. So, we're happy to be able to accommodate their requests and their needs here at the Wildcat Den,” said NMU Associate Director of Dining Services, Paul Schoonveld.
The Wildcat Den is also in the process of getting their liquor license. Once they receive the license, the hope is for beer and wine to be served.
The den is open to NMU students, faculty, and the general public.
