MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The public is invited to NMU on Feb. 17 to attend the second annual Learning to Lead Seminar.

This year's focus is motivation in the workplace.

The keynote speaker is expert brand strategist and professional executive coach Kimberly Maki, an NMU graduate who lives in Florida.

Several other local speakers will also give presentations.

The seminar gives tips on how to motivate yourself and those around you at work.

"It's one of those things, we all know it's important, but you have to remind yourself and it's really good to hear other people talk about it so you can walk away with fresh ideas, fresh eyes and just some new energy," said Stephanie Zadroga-Langlois, director of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at NMU.

People at all stages of their career are welcome.

It costs $150 to attend and lunch is included.

Registration is open from now until Feb. 16.
