MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - 5:30 p.m. was kickoff for Northern Michigan University's annual homecoming parade.
The procession made its way up Fair Ave before turning left onto Third Street by Flagstar, and continuing onto Hewitt and Front Streets.
Members from various organizations were featured, from sports teams to the police department, and the marching band.
As they walked, the marching band played NMU's fight song.
This is just one of Northern's homecoming activities for the week. It comes to a close on Saturday, with the football game against Davenport at 1 p.m. and the Green and Gold Gala at 6.
