Michigan Works! provides services to teens looking for summer jobs

ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - High school students and even college students can take advantage of the services provided by Michigan Works! to find summer employment.

Darren Widder, workforce services manager at Michigan Works! in Escanaba, says there are more than 2,000 jobs listed in the MiWorks! database, so there's no need to think that "all the good jobs are gone."

Summer jobs can be beneficial to teens not just to make money, but to learn about writing resumes, filling out applications, interviewing skills, and working with a team.

Widder says MiWorks! can also help teens and those in their early twenties write resumes and practice interviewing.
