MENOMINEE, Mich. (WLUC) - A Menominee County deputy is under investigation for criminal sexual conduct against a Menominee High School student.
According to the Menominee Police Department, a warrant request has been submitted for the deputy following an investigation by Menominee police. The deputy's name has not been released.
According to the MPD, investigators received information from Michigan Child Protective Services regarding allegations of Criminal Sexual Conduct by a Menominee County Sheriff’s Deputy against a 16-year-old Menominee High School student.
The Menominee Police investigated and have now submitted a warrant request to Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey T. Rogg for review and authorization of potential criminal charges.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the Menominee Police Department requests that anyone with further information about this incident, or potential victims of other such incidents, please contact the department at 906-863-5568.
The Menominee Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the Michigan State Police and will release additional information at a later date, as the investigation continues.
