CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Meister's Christmas Tree Farm started their season Friday and the turnout was great. Despite a nation-wide shortage, local farmers like Meister's are expecting a good year.
They've added new features to the farm including a gift shop with locally made crafts including soaps, candles, and donuts and cider. For a lot of families, picking out the tree is a Christmas tradition.
"We're going to find a tree, maybe cut it down ourselves or just get one of the ones that are pre-cut, then we're going to make ornaments to put on it and then put it in our basement and then we're going to watch some Christmas movies and stuff," said Mia Zivnoska, who was shopping for a tree with her family.
Meister's will also have rides to visit Santa during specific hours during the weekends in December. For more on Meister's check the related links section on this page.
