Marquette voters deal with construction near polling location

Those who vote at the Baraga Gym in Marquette will have to avoid construction getting there on Tuesday. Marquette city precincts one, two, and three all vote at the gym on Baraga Avenue, below City Hall. Voters at the gym are urged to take Fourth Street to get to the gym and park in the Marquette City Police lot. The usual entrance on Fifth Street and Baraga Avenue is blocked due to construction.

"The best place to come in is through the double glass doors outside of the police department,” said Marquette City Clerk Kris Hazeres. “Then you just go down the hallways and down a ramp and into the Baraga Gym. You can enter in off of Spring Street too so there is parking on Spring St. Either is fine.”
