MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Marquette police say two people of interest have been developed in the 1988 homicide of Paul Girard.
On the morning of Sept. 30, 1988, 34-year-old Paul Girard was found dead near Chief Kawbawgam's grave at Presque Isle Park with multiple stab wounds in the back, chest and face. Click here to read a story TV6 & FOX UP did 30 years after the murder.
The Marquette Police Department announced Thursday morning that one of the two persons of interest has been identified. No information about that person has been released.
The second person has not been identified. A sketch of the second person was completed by a forensic sketch artist.
The second person of interest is being described as being:
5' 8" to 5' 10" tall
Sandy lighter colored hair
Approximately 25 to 35 years old in 1988
The person had slumped over posture when he sat, police said. They are described as cognitively impaired; not social; and not well kept in appearance and dress.
