MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette Trails Festival returns to Marquette for its sixth year this weekend.
Nic Dobbs, race director for the festival, says it's a family-friendly event that will have a little something for everyone to enjoy. Dobbs says there are 14 events happening over the course of three days, June 21 through 23, around Marquette.
There will be bike races, trail hiking, and socials throughout the weekend.
Dobbs says the money raised from the event goes to the Noquemanon Trail Network Singletrack, which improves existing trails throughout the county as well as builds new ones for people to enjoy.
Dobbs says they are still in need of volunteers. About 130 people are needed to help things run smoothly.
