MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - In a little over a week Marquette will be filled with mountain bikers and runners from all over the country.
This is the sixth year for the Marquette Trails Festival; the proceeds from which go to benefit the Noquemanon Trails Network.
Fourteen events are held over the course of just three days. The Marquette Trails Fest committee is asking for help to make sure this year’s festival runs smoothly.
"There's no way we can be everywhere," said Nic Dobbs, race director. "We use trail all the way up in Forestville to all the way down to Marquette Mountain. We've got some specific road crossings that we need to deal with and for the safety of our people we need volunteers at road crossings, we need help with the registration, and we need help with timers. Eight people can't do it all."
