MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Marquette Senior High School is getting a bit of a make over.

New bleachers were just installed in the high school's gym.

Construction started just two days after the school's graduation ceremony and the project is made possible by the district's sinking fund.

The gym hosts three levels of volleyball and six levels of boys and girls basketball and just recently, the school started hosting its graduation ceremony in the gym.

"These bleachers are just another component to go along and make sure that we're trying to put out the best game day and athletics experience that we can not only for our student athletes who are competing but our fans and friends and families that are coming in to support these student athletes as well," said Alex Tiseo, Athletic Director for Marquette Senior High School.

The school's old bleachers had no hand rails and they say they are excited to have the new bleachers in time for next school year.
