MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - With all the recent snow, Marquette City Police are reminding motorists to be prepared for the winter conditions with their vehicles.

They say it's important to make sure your car or truck is cleared of snow, not just the windshield but the lights, tail lights and hood as well.

And of course, going slow on the ice and snow and leaving a little early to get to where your headed.

"Now is as good a time as any to remind motorists to be prepared when traveling, make sure your vehicle is in good working order, make sure you take extra time to get to and from your destination," said Marquette City Police Captain Mike Laurila.

Many auto experts also advise giving your vehicle at least ten minutes to warm up before heading out as well.
