MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Music lovers young and old gathered at Presque Isle park to hear the Marquette City Band play old and new children's songs.
The concert is part of the city band's Summer Concert Series.
Music from Merry Melodies and Woody Pecker, to Frozen and Star Wars were played before a packed audience in the Presque Isle band shell.
Band Director Stephen Grugin says it's important to play for children so they can start a life long love of music.
"It's important that we expose children to music, and at an early age. We want them growing up loving music, and want them to continue to enrich their lives with music," said Grugin.
The next concert in the series is on July 25th in the Presque Isle band shell.
