MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Marquette Breakfast Rotary announced Tuesday new changes to their annual grant program.
Due to the tremendous success of the club’s annual “Fishboil” fundraiser, the club is now able to offer two separate grant cycles. Small grants will support requests for up to $2,500. Large grants will support requests ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. The grant application cycle is now open and will end on February 8, 2019.
“We are thrilled to be able to increase our impact in the Marquette community,” said Scott Knaffla, president of Marquette Breakfast Rotary. “We have a strong commitment to supporting organizations, projects and programs that are making a meaningful difference in our community and for our youth.”
Applications for both grants are available on the club’s website at
“This grant cycle is only made possible through our fundraising efforts,” said Knaffla. “We work year-round planning and organizing this event. Through sponsorships, ticket sales and our incredible auction, we are able to support our grant activity. This year’s Fishboil is set for June 15, 2019. We encourage everyone to come out and support the club on this special day as we raise funds for our community.”
Since 1992, Marquette Breakfast Rotary has donated over $450,000 back to organizations in Marquette County.
