MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette Maritime Museum is hosting a six month long series, Maritime History on Tap, at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.
The presentations will be on the first Tuesday of each month, except for January 15. The first presentation is tonight, Tuesday, November 6. National Weather Service meteorologist Matt Zika will be giving a presentation about the weather phenomenon that sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior.
Hilary Billman, the director of the Marquette Maritime Museum, says the series was started last year and was very popular. Because the museum is only open from May until October, Billman says this is a way for them to continue to have events and teach the community about different historical aspects of the area.
The presentations are all at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette beginning at 7 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation for attendees.
