UPDATE: Multiple agencies seek public's assistance finding armed robbery suspect for Pembine, Escanaba

PEMBINE, Wis. and ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: July 9, 4:04 p.m.
Investigators from the Escanaba Public Safety Department, Marinette County Sheriff's Office, Delta County Sheriff's Office, Michigan State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), held a joint meeting on Tuesday, July 09, to discuss the similarities of the armed robbery in Pembine, Wisconsin, and the attempted armed robbery of the Northern United Federal Credit Union in Escanaba.

Investigators have determined the two incidents are related by comparisons of the vehicle used and the suspect’s profile. Investigators compared the apparent similarities, along with additional information not yet publicly available, to draw this conclusion.

A joint effort with information sharing has been coordinated in an attempt to identify the suspect, and/or the suspect vehicle, utilizing the combined resources of all agencies involved.

Additional still shots from security videos obtained have been released for public dissemination.

ORIGINAL STORY: July 8, 6:32 p.m.
The Marinette County Sheriff is asking for the public's assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect.

The sheriff's office says an armed bank robbery took place in Pembine, Wisconsin, on Monday, July 8, around 1:18 p.m.

According to Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Suave, the white man is described as 6'2" to 6'5" tall and thin/medium build, but his age is unknown at this time. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, brown/tan shoes, a dark sweatshirt/jacket, dark gloves and his head was covered with a dark, full-faced mask.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a mid-late model GMC four-door, mid-size SUV, painted a darker color with silver colored 5-spoke wheels--possibly an Acadia.

Sheriff Suave says it's believed the man is armed an dangerous.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Office is working on video evidence of the suspect and vehicle involved, which they hope to release soon .
